Joining CAPP
CAPP membership Categories:
Full Members can serve as CAPP officers or Council Members. Only full members are permitted to vote in elections. Full Members must possess:
- A doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) or in a related social science discipline (Ed.D. or Ph.D.)
- and/or State licensure and board certification in Psychiatry,
- and/or State licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.)
Associate Members can serve on CAPP committees, can register for CAPP programs at the associate member rate, and receive all communications from the organization, including the CAPPSTONE. Associate Members must either:
- Have at least a master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related social science discipline, or have completed medical school.
- Non-doctoral professionals in fields other than those mentioned above may be admitted as Associate Members at the discretion of the Council.
In addition, Associate Members must be ineligible for full membership in CAPP.
Student Members are accepted at a reduced fee and can attend CAPP programs at a very reduced fee. CAPP's Student Committee provides additional special programs that are of interest to students. Student members must:
- Be enrolled as an undergraduate, graduate, or medical student
- and must be ineligible for membership as a Full or Associate Member.
