New Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling at ICSW

ICSW Announces New Master’s in
Counseling and Psychotherapy

Interested in a career in clinical counseling? ICSW’s unique model of clinical education
may be just what you’re looking for. Our accredited master’s-level program offers
comprehensive clinical training alongside theoretical study that emphasizes a contemporary
psychodynamic perspective. Our coursework includes an emphasis on clinical practice as
well as providing a sound theoretical base in human behavior, contributing to a well rounded
and rigorous ICSW education.
Whatever their interests, our students benefit from one-on-one attention from faculty
members who bring a combination of practical experience and scholarly accomplishment to
the classroom. As they complete their master’s degree, students are eligible for licensure (LPC) and prepared to carry their experience into the clinic or to proceed with doctoral-level study.
The flexible framework of ICSW’s master’s program includes weekend courses that allow
working students to easily accommodate their professional and academic schedules. The degree is comprised of 54 credit hours, two years of clinical training, and optional thesis electives for those students interested in pursuing doctoral level education.
An ICSW education is designed for students who are serious about pursuing a career as a mental health professional. ICSW’s graduates move on to become innovators in the field of clinical work through service, research, and practice.
